When TV fixtures will be announced for Birmingham City in 2022-23 Championship season



Birmingham City’s fixtures ahead of the 2022/23 Championship season have now been released and fans attentions will now turn to when they can see their team live on television in the near future.

Blues will travel to Kenilworth Road on the opening day of the season as they face Luton Town on July 30 to kickstart their campaign. They will then face a tough run of games as they lineup to face Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Watford in their next three fixtures.

Championship games will be shown live on Sky Sports throughout the season with them showing 145 live matches from the Sky Bet EFL season as well as an additional eight co-exclusive fixtures.. Highlights can be found on ITV after a deal was announced with the EFL in February 2022.

Fans will be eager to see their team in action on TV in the new season with the EFL informing BirminghamLive that fixtures to be shown on TV are not available at the moment but will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

However, the EFL have announced the opening fixtures that have been confirmed for TV coverage. and the fixtures can be found below:

Friday 29 July – Huddersfield Town v Burnley – 8pm

Saturday 30 July – Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion – 5.30pm

Sunday 31 July – Sunderland AFC v Coventry City – 12pm

Monday 1 August – Watford v Sheffield United – 8pm

The EFL also went on to say: “There will also be 15 matches from the Carabao Cup, at least three from the Papa Johns Trophy and the Play-Offs in their entirety.

“The eight co-exclusive Sky Bet Championship games will take place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and will be broadcast simultaneously with other Sky Bet Championship games. These eight games will also be available to stream on Clubs’ DTC offerings.”
